  1. 1990

    A school begins

    Akshara School is founded on 2nd July 1990 by Late Sri K.V.K. Raju, founder of the Nagarjuna Group of Companies — an industrialist who believed enlightenment, not enrolment, was the point of a school.

  2. The early years

    Affiliation and rigour

    The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, adopting a curriculum built on conceptual understanding rather than rote preparation.

  3. Today

    1,800 students, 74 teachers

    A student strength of more than 1,800, supported by 74 qualified teachers and 17 non-teaching staff, under the leadership of the Principal.

  4. 2026–27

    Senior Secondary

    Akshara is upgraded to Senior Secondary Level (Classes XI & XII) from the academic year 2026–27 — students can now complete the full school journey here.
